We are partnering with a reputable international shipping company to hire a Project Manager experienced in Newbuilding to be based in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have experience managing newbuilding projects & drydocking
, ideally involving container vessels, though candidates with experience across other vessel types are also welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee newbuilding projects from planning and design through to delivery.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
- Conduct technical reviews, audits, and inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
- Coordinate closely with shipyards, class societies, and internal teams to resolve technical matters.
- Supervise site teams to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Provide regular project progress and cost reports.
- Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing vessel newbuilds within a shipping or ship management environment.
- Strong understanding of class and international standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in English and Microsoft Office applications.
