A leading international classification and certification organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor
to join its North European operations, based in Rotterdam
.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished marine professional to take on a senior technical role, conducting surveys, inspections, and audits across a wide range of projects.
The Role
You'll be responsible for ensuring vessels meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and seaworthiness through detailed inspections and expert guidance to owners, operators, and shipyards. The role includes:
- Performing classification and statutory surveys on newbuild and in-service vessels
- Preparing accurate technical reports and recommendations
- Coordinating survey activities and providing guidance on complex projects
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain high service standards
- Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors to develop their technical capability
About You
- Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in marine engineering, inspection, or survey
- Candidates who have experience within a shipyard will also be held in high regard.
- Strong understanding of class and statutory requirements
- Native-level Dutch (spoken and written) and strong English communication skills
