Are you an experienced business development professional with a strong background in dry commodities? A reputable maritime company looking for a Senior Business Development Manager
to join their team and lead growth initiatives in Australia’s dry commodities sector.
Identifying and capturing new business opportunities, including market expansion, company acquisitions, and building strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify emerging opportunities in the dry commodities sector, including new markets and product lines
- Develop and manage a pipeline of potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to support business growth
- Explore new dry commodities sectors and regions within Australia for portfolio expansion
- Build and nurture relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners
- Collaborate with senior management to create and implement growth strategies
- Analyze business opportunities through financial modelling and due diligence
- Provide regular updates and reports on business development progress to senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, M&A, or related roles; mining and/or dry commodities preferred
- Strong knowledge of the Australian dry bulk or commodities market
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proven success in identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English
