We are partnering with a well-known maritime company that is looking for a Business Development Manager
focused on growing its business in the dry commodities sector
. This role is based in Indonesia
and is key to helping the company expand, make acquisitions, and build strong partnerships.
The goal of this role is to drive growth and diversify the company’s operations in Indonesia, ensuring long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new business opportunities in the dry commodities sector, including new markets and product lines
- Develop and manage a pipeline of potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with key industry stakeholders
- Explore and evaluate new sectors and regions within Indonesia to expand the company’s business
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other business partners
- Work closely with senior management to plan and implement business growth strategies
- Conduct financial analysis and due diligence on potential opportunities
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on progress and results
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a similar field
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, M&A preferably in dry commodities or shipping
- Good understanding of the Indonesian market, especially in dry bulk or commodities
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to find and secure new business opportunities
- Able to work independently and take initiative in a fast-moving environment
- Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
