- Revenue Generation & Market Expansion: Lead efforts to expand market share, penetrate new customer segments, and drive significant revenue growth.
- Operational Excellence & Scalability: Optimize operational efficiency and build scalable processes to support rapid growth.
- Financial Management & Investment: Oversee financial performance, manage resources effectively, and potentially lead future investment rounds.
- Team Leadership & Development: Cultivate a high-performance culture, attract and retain top talent, and build a leadership team capable of supporting growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, stakeholders and the Board.
- Industry Leadership & Representation: Serve as a key representative of the company within the maritime industry.
The Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles, CEO, MD, GM, Head of Strategy, Head of Transformation ideally within the maritime, shipping, or related sectors.
- Experienced in agile project delivery, lean start-up or other experimental approaches to make innovation processes effective and productive.
- Proven experience in building and scaling digital ventures or industrial platforms.
- A deep understanding of the dynamics, challenges, and opportunities within the maritime industry.
- A demonstrable track record of successfully scaling businesses and driving significant revenue growth and profitability.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lead and balance corporate governance and startup agility
- Comfortable in both board-facing, investor-facing and client-facing environments.
- A relevant network within the maritime industry is advantageous.
