The Role:
This is a commercially driven position focused on fixing cargo and sourcing external tonnage in the open market (not limited to the company’s owned fleet). You will be responsible for developing cargo flows, identifying suitable third-party vessels, and optimising voyage profitability across regional and international trades.
The role offers a high degree of autonomy within a lean structure, working closely with headquarters and regional stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Fixing dry bulk vessels (cargo and tonnage)
- Managing chartering enquiries and negotiating fixture terms
- Liaising with brokers, owners, and clients globally
- Analysing market conditions and advising on strategy
- Solid dry bulk chartering experience across any size segment
- Sharp market awareness and confident negotiation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate independently
- Based in Hong Kong
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin, with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with Chinese stakeholders
- Platform to trade actively in the open market
