Key Responsibilities
- Review and ensure compliance with technical specifications, class rules, and electrical standards
- Prepare and review electrical documents such as single-line diagrams, load calculations, and power distribution layouts
- Support electrical systems for diesel-electric vessels, including power generation, switchboards, drives, alarms, fire protection, navigation, and communication systems
- Develop drawings, cable lists, cable tray sizing, breaker sizing, and testing procedures
- Coordinate with equipment vendors and system suppliers to ensure proper system integration
- Support system testing, short-circuit verification, and compliance with safety and operational requirements (including DP/FMEA where applicable)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Marine Engineering
- 4-5 years experience in a shipyard or marine electrical environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Good computer skills
- Understanding of shipbuilding and project execution processes
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and communicate with clients
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
