Reporting to the Country Manager, with a matrix line to the Group Financial Controller, you will be the primary authority on all financial, management, and statutory reporting for the Malaysia business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Reporting: Oversee the end-to-end production of monthly accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and provide insightful variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Working Capital & Tax: Direct all aspects of accounts payable/receivable and manage comprehensive tax compliance, including VAT, corporate tax filings, and payroll reconciliations.
- Governance & Controls: Implement and document robust internal controls and accounting principles (IFRS) to ensure group and statutory consistency.
- Business Growth & M&A: Partner with senior leadership on financial due diligence for potential M&A opportunities and lead the integration of finance systems for new business ventures.
- People Leadership: Lead and mentor a dedicated team, fostering an engaging culture focused on performance development and operational excellence.
We are looking for a commercially-minded finance leader who meets the following criteria:
- Qualifications: A University Degree and a full professional accounting qualification.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, ideally including an early career foundation in Audit (approx. 2 years).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in IFRS, statutory reporting for large corporations, and advanced proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and Excel.
- Soft Skills: A proactive problem-solver with the ability to communicate effectively with global stakeholders.
- Mindset: A "team-first" attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and high integrity.
