Tidewater, a globally recognized offshore vessel owner, have exclusively partnered with Angle Recruitment in the search for a highly skilled and strategically minded Global Dry Docking Manager to oversee the global dry docking programme across their extensive fleet.
  
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will manage a global team and be the key driver of planning, budgeting, and execution of dry docking activities worldwide.
  
Role Accountabilities

  • In the exercise of his functions, the Global Dry Dock Manager is to ensure full compliance with the Company Safety Management System (TIMS).
  • Supervise and manage Company approved projects such as but not limited to vessel dockings, vessel engine overhauls, vessel upgrades/conversions, vessel emergency repairs ensuring they are delivered on time, according to the company, class and statutory technical requirements and on budget.
  • Control variation orders during each and every project and communicate with management for approval above pre-set limits.
  • Report daily to the Director Engineering and Technical Services
  • Evaluate scope of work with a view to developing potential cost savings whilst ensuring the required quality and maintenance level.
  • Act as Company Nominated Representative towards Shipyards or other Subcontractors with respect to the scope of repairs.
  • Communicate any potential suitable Shipyards and/or Subcontractors and facilities for overhaul work and repairs. Participate and assist on the planning of each Project when/as required. This to include preparation of repair specifications, job scope of work and definition of required spare parts.
  • Participate in producing and maintain standard spare parts list for the required equipment/machinery.
  • Ensure all project reports are finalized, made available and soft copies filed correctly in the respective company and vessel sever folders.
  • Participate in producing and manage left over unused spare parts list at the end of each and every Project.
  • Comply fully with the dry dock specific applicable instructions, namely Dry dockings Engine Overhauls and Projects Procedures.
  
People Management
  • Global Dry Dock Manager has full supervisory responsibility and authority for the assigned Project.
  • Global Dry Dock Manager must ensure continued communication with Corporate Projects and Regional Offices with regards to time, cost, delays on project deliverable, variation orders and any other findings that have the potential to affect the project schedule.
  • Actively champion professional, transparent communication and behavior consistent with the Tidewater Values amongst all project team members and ships staff.
  • Ensure effective resourcing is achieved in time and on budget and ensure the management of employee’s tasks and time is balanced and appropriate.
