The Role:
As a senior leader within the corporate development function, you will shape the organization’s long-term direction by identifying growth opportunities, analyzing industry trends, and providing strategic insights. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure the company remains ahead of market developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Development:
- Lead the creation and execution of corporate strategies that align with business objectives.
- Conduct research and market assessments to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Guide leadership teams through strategy workshops and business planning exercises.
Market Research & Competitive Intelligence:
- Oversee industry and market analysis, including customer insights and competitive positioning.
- Monitor regulatory, technological, and economic shifts to inform decision-making.
- Utilize data-driven insights to support business expansion and operational efficiency.
Execution of Strategic Projects:
- Drive high-impact initiatives, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
- Evaluate potential investments and assess their strategic fit.
- Track and refine strategies to maximize performance and results.
- Manage projects - such as M&A's and JV's.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with senior leadership to communicate insights and strategic recommendations.
- Engage with key external stakeholders, including industry experts and partners.
- Influence decision-making through data-backed presentations and reports.
What You Bring:
Education: MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
Experience: 10+ years in strategic planning, corporate research, finance, or business development withing capital intensive industries is a must and experience within shipping will be held in high regard. Experience managing capital projects will be held in high regard.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling capabilities.
- Proficiency in strategy frameworks and business case development.
