A well-established international container shipping company is looking for an Operations Manager
to keep several key trade routes running smoothly across Asia and beyond.
This role suits someone with hands-on experience who enjoys solving problems, coordinating multiple parties and ensuring cargo moves safely, on time and within budget.
What you'll do
- Manage the day-to-day performance of assigned shipping services, maintaining schedule reliability and service quality.
- Coordinate with ports, terminals, and partners to optimise turnaround times and costs.
- Monitor voyage budgets, capacity utilisation and cargo allocation in collaboration with commercial teams.
- Support regional initiatives to improve operational standards, safety culture and new systems.
- Act as a point of contact during service disruptions or incidents, helping to manage recovery plans.
- Shore-based experience in liner operations is required.
- In addition to the shore-based experience, seagoing or port/terminal background would be held in high regard.
- Good stakeholder management, data analysis and decision-making skills.
