A reputable and expanding shipbroking firm is seeking a Research Analyst to join their growing. The team provides timely analysis of global shipping and oil markets, supporting brokers and clients with data-driven insights and forecasts.
The role involves producing regular market reports, contributing to the department’s overall market outlook, and delivering bespoke research to support commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce concise and insightful research updates under tight deadlines.
- Develop and maintain regular market reports with both near-term and long-term perspectives.
- Support client engagement through presentations and tailored research deliverables.
- Enhance and manage in-house analytical and forecasting models.
- Collect, organize, and interpret large datasets from multiple industry sources.
- Respond promptly to client and internal research requests with accurate and well-supported insights.
- Collaborate closely with brokers and clients to strengthen internal and external relationships.
- Strong academic foundation in Economics, Finance, Shipping, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience conducting research or market analysis within the shipping industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI etc.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Clear and engaging communication style, both in writing and in presentations.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to balance teamwork with independent problem-solving.
