The Role:
This is a commercially hands-on and strategically important role, responsible for fixing both cargo and tonnage within the Handy segment. You will manage the full chartering cycle, collaborating closely with clients, brokers, and internal teams, with a primary focus on spot and short-term fixtures. While this role is not a formal leadership position today, it offers clear growth potential for ambitious professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fix Handy vessels, covering both cargo and tonnage
- Manage chartering enquiries and lead fixture negotiations
- Coordinate with brokers, vessel owners, and global clients
- Analyse market trends and provide strategic insights to support chartering decisions
- Drive continuous improvement in chartering operations and client engagement
- Proven chartering experience in the Handy dry bulk sector
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and market awareness
- Proactive, collaborative, and results-driven mindset
- Based in Singapore or open to relocation
