We're recruiting on behalf of a global container shipping company
seeking a Senior Trade Manager
to support and drive day-to-day trade performance across the Transpacific and Latin America
lanes.
Reporting to the Director of Trade
, this role is ideal for someone commercially focused, data-driven, and highly hands-on in executing trade strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute trade strategies and optimize performance for the Transpacific & LATAM regions
- Manage pricing, space allocation, and forecasting in coordination with global offices
- Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to support tactical decisions
- Track profitability, volumes, and performance metrics against targets
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and network teams to ensure alignment
- Prepare reporting dashboards and support business planning processes
- 5-8 years' experience in trade or commercial roles within container shipping
- Hands-on, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong commercial awareness
- Familiar with Transpacific and/or LATAM markets
- Skilled in stakeholder communication and cross-functional coordination
- Proficient in trade performance tools and Excel/data reporting
