The Role:
This is a commercially driven role focused on fixing cargo and sourcing suitable external tonnage (not limited to the company’s owned fleet). You will actively develop cargo flow and manage third-party vessel employment, optimising margins and building long-term market relationships.
You’ll work closely with regional and HQ stakeholders while operating with a high level of commercial autonomy.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Fixing dry bulk vessels (cargo and tonnage)
- Managing chartering enquiries and negotiating fixture terms
- Liaising with brokers, owners, and clients globally
- Analysing market conditions and advising on strategy
- Solid dry bulk chartering experience (Handy/Supramax preferred)
- Commercially sharp with confident negotiation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable working independently
- Platform to trade actively in the open market
- Exposure to regional and global dry bulk flows
- Opportunity to build and grow a commercial desk in Singapore
