Angle Recruitment has partnered with a shipping company in Indonesia operating a mixed fleet . They are seeking an experienced Shipyard Manager to join their technical team in Jakarta, with responsibility for shipyard activities in Batam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full technical responsibility for assigned vessels (hull, machinery, and equipment).
- Plan and manage shipyard repairs, dry dockings, and major maintenance works.
- Prepare technical specifications, budgets, and schedules; ensure works are completed on time and within budget.
- Implement and monitor the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and statutory compliance.
- Monitor vessel performance, breakdown trends, and fuel/lubricant consumption.
- Control maintenance, repair, docking, and lubricant costs.
- Review crew technical performance and prepare technical and cost reports for management.
- Marine engineering background (Chief Engineer or equivalent preferred) or shipyard experience.
- Proven experience managing shipyard repairs and dry dockings for a mixed fleet.
- Strong technical, cost control, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to be based in Jakarta with regular travel to Batam.
