has been appointed to identify a capable Technical Superintendent
to join a respected shipping company
based in Monaco.
We’re looking for a Technical Superintendent with solid tugs and geared bulk carriers
either coming directly from sea or already working ashore in a similar superintendent capacity.
This is a great chance to take ownership of a modern fleet within a well-resourced, collaborative technical team.
The Role:
- Monitor and manage day-to-day technical operations of assigned vessels (tugs and geared bulk carriers)
- Overseeing maintenance, dry dockings, and inspections
- Working closely with crew, ship managers, and Class
- Monitoring budgets, performance, and compliance
- Conduct vessel inspections and provide technical assessments
- Work with procurement for spare parts and service
- Supporting HSEQ and technical standards across the fleet
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as Technical Superintendent or Chief Engineer onboard tugs or geared bulk carriers
- Experience with tugs or geared bulk vessels is essential
- Either already shore-based or keen to make a ship-to-shore transition
- Solid communication and organisational skills
- Must have the right to live and work in Europe – EU passport or similar
