Our client, an established global maritime group, is growing a specialist projects business and needs someone commercially sharp to help win the work.
This is a proper new business role. You'll be opening doors rather than minding accounts: finding the opportunities, building the relationships and running the proposals that turn conversations into contracts.
The role
- Identify and pursue new opportunities across the global shipping projects market, from first contact through to contract award and handover
- Build a network across shipowners, investors, leasing companies and shipyards, and represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events
- Track fleet investment plans, project activity and market trends, and turn that intelligence into a live pipeline of target customers
- Prepare and run commercial proposals and tenders end to end: inputs from internal teams, submission deadlines, clarification meetings and follow ups
- Keep the CRM honest and support pipeline reporting and forecasting
- Someone who knows ships and shipping but wants a commercial career, not a technical one
- Sharp communicator, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and working a room
- Self starter who can run their own desk with minimal supervision
- Fluent English and happy to travel internationally
A growing business line inside an established global platform, real customer exposure from day one, and a clear runway into senior commercial roles. The projects market is busy, so the timing is good.
