Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor booking trends and cargo forecasts to maximize vessel utilization and load factors
- Plan and manage medium-term space allocation, ensuring optimal balance of laden and empty containers in line with equipment strategies
- Coordinate closely with Trade, Commercial, Operations, and Planning teams on cargo routing, loading plans, and vessel optimization
- Analyze cargo flow, port performance, and operational reports to support decision-making and improve efficiency
- Proactively manage disruptions (e.g. port omissions, schedule changes, void sailings) and implement effective cargo recovery solutions
- Drive cost optimization through forward planning and efficient operational responses
- Support team leadership responsibilities, including coaching, training, and contributing to team development
- Identify and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and cross-functional initiatives to improve cargo flow efficiency
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related industry
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good command of MS Office tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
