Angle Recruitment has partnered with a reputable shipping company to find its next Head of Operations. The company operates a fleet of IMO Type 1 and 2 chemical tankers trading globally.
The role is based in Singapore, leading commercial operations across the whole fleet.
In short, your job is to make every voyage run safely, on time and on budget, with tank cleaning that never costs the next fixture.
- Lead post fixture operations, from voyage instructions through to cargo handling and performance
- Own tank cleaning and cargo planning across stainless steel tank vessels
- Work closely with chartering, technical and vetting to keep the fleet earning
- Handle the difficult moments: deviations, off hire, claims and cargo disputes
- Build and lead the operations team
You'll bring solid experience operating IMO Type 1 and 2 chemical tankers with stainless steel tanks, and a working knowledge of tank cleaning that only comes from doing it. You'll have operated vessels into global ports, with the Middle East, Europe or the Americas an advantage. A seagoing background will help, but it isn't essential.
