A leading merchant ship owner and operator is hiring a Legal Counsel in Hong Kong.
A broad in-house role, created to take on a growing deal flow and sit close to the commercial side of the business.
You will draft and negotiate charterparties, ship management agreements, S&P and shipbuilding contracts, support JV work, review ship finance and run transactions to close, and handle disputes with external counsel. Plenty of regulatory and ESG work too, including ETS and FuelEU, across multiple jurisdictions.
You are a qualified Lawyer at mid-level PQE, with solid shipping or offshore energy experience and a commercial, calm approach when several deals land at once.
