Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced LNG Newbuilding Project Manager / Superintendent to oversee LNG vessel newbuilding projects from construction through commissioning, sea trials and delivery, acting as the Owner's representative with shipyards and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage LNG vessel newbuilding projects from design/construction through final delivery.
- Oversee shipyard progress, quality, schedule, cost and technical compliance.
- Coordinate with shipyards, class societies, designers, vendors and equipment manufacturers.
- Review technical specifications, drawings and vessel systems.
- Oversee LNG cargo systems, machinery, propulsion and automation installation/commissioning.
- Manage inspections, FATs, sea trials, modifications and defects.
- Lead site teams and provide project progress and risk reporting.
- Ensure compliance with IMO, IGC Code, class and flag requirements.
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or related discipline.
- 8+ years' marine/newbuilding experience , with LNG vessel experience strongly preferred.
- Proven LNG newbuilding, shipyard or Owner's representative experience.
- Strong knowledge of LNG cargo, machinery and vessel systems.
- Experience with commissioning, sea trials and vessel delivery.
- Strong project management, technical and stakeholder-management skills.
