Our client is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to drive business growth across Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asia marine and offshore markets. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused professional with strong industry connections and a passion for developing strategic customer relationships.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow sales of marine systems, equipment, and integrated solutions.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with shipowners, offshore operators, marine service providers, shipyards, and government-linked organisations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers throughout Malaysia and the region.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, analyse market trends, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Work closely with internal engineering and proposal teams to develop customised technical and commercial solutions.
  • Deliver presentations, conduct customer meetings, and lead commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure customer requirements are understood and effectively translated into project deliverables.
  • Support project execution by coordinating closely with technical and operational teams.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking activities.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of sales, business development, or account management experience within the marine, offshore, shipping, or energy sectors.
  • Strong network with shipowners, offshore operators, marine contractors, and regional maritime stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial awareness.
  • Regional travel will be required.
