This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level shipping professional with experience in vessel operations who is looking to further develop their career within the chemical tanker sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned vessels
- Coordinate closely with Masters, agents, charterers, terminals and other relevant stakeholders
- Monitor vessel schedules and voyage progress
- Coordinate port calls, vessel movements and operational requirements
- Arrange and monitor services required for the vessel during the voyage
- Provide operational instructions and ensure timely communication with vessels
- Manage operational disruptions, delays and voyage-related issues
- Monitor and coordinate bunker requirements, port expenses and other voyage-related matters
- Review and manage operational documentation
- Ensure voyages are conducted in accordance with charter party terms, company procedures and applicable regulations
- Maintain strong communication with internal commercial, technical and finance teams
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and minimise unnecessary costs
- Experience in vessel operations within chemical shipowners
- Exposure to stainless steel chemical tankers/parcelling is highly desirable
- Suitable for candidates at a junior to mid-level stage of their career
- Strong understanding of vessel and voyage operations
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
