From the pre-event survey:
⚓️ Hiring. Over half of companies plan to maintain headcount. Others are hiring, and most are open to fresh graduates. Encouraging for the pipeline.
⚓️ Shore-based skills shortages. Technical management is still the hardest shore-based role to fill. Commercial roles aren't far behind.
⚓️ Remuneration. Most companies believe salary benchmarking would help. Pay is one piece of the puzzle, not all of it. Hopefully MPA runs another maritime salary benchmarking survey soon.
